Our RFV Kilns
can be used for a variety of wood products from timber frames, logs,
lumber and furniture to mouldings. An RFV Kiln differs
from conventional kilns greatly. Conventional kilns only dry the
outer 1-2" of a timber and may take weeks or months to dry. On average
our kilns can dry a timber to it's core within 5 days with a moisture
content of 8% or less. One area we stand apart from other kiln drying
operations is we can dry both softwoods and hardwoods such as red oak.
Because of the compressive loading used in our kiln system and its
gentle drying cycle, your lumber will remain straighter and more true
than when dried conventionally.
